About your role

Articulate our product's functionality with clarity, simplicity, and a human touch, enabling users to navigate and use the product effortlessly. With user-centered storytelling, promote seamless interactions, increased product understanding, and user satisfaction. Contribute to a coherent and compelling brand voice, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-focused writing into all aspects of product design and development.

Outcomes

1. Clarity in Communication: Create clear, concise, and effective product copy that improves user understanding and reduces potential confusion or misinterpretation.
2. Consistent Brand Voice: Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice throughout the product, aligning with the company's brand guidelines and reflecting its values.
3. User Engagement: Craft compelling messages and calls to action that drives user engagement, leading to higher conversion rates and overall product usage.
4. Collaborative Product Development: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to integrate text into product design, ensuring the coherence of visual and written communication.
5. User-Centered Documentation: Create and maintain user-facing documentation (like help articles, guides, and FAQs) that enhances user comprehension and support, leading to improved user satisfaction and reduced customer support demands.

Day-to-day

• Lead every stage of the content cycle, from ideation and planning to execution and analysis
• Establish Baubap product voice and UX writing guidelines.
• Communicate with various stakeholders across the business, managing their expectations and accommodating their feedback
• Write clear and concise product copy for new and existing features.
• Define the workflow of UX writing with designers and product managers.
• Provide feedback on user research and incorporate new insights.
• Measure the impact of UX writing through AB tests and data-driven approaches.
• Set reusable copy patterns to accompany our design system.
• Advocate for evidence-driven language solutions.
• Test, evaluate, and improve content through data and research methods.

Requirements

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ professional UX writing and editing experience for the web and mobile, as well as comms, landing pages, articles, and product descriptions in a similar role (e.g. UX writer / content designer, content strategist, information architect, or similar).
• Portfolio demonstrating adherence to and improvement of a style guide.
• Experience working with the product team, partnering with designers and managers on feature development.
• Strong project management skills with ownership and accountability.
• Commitment to accessibility and inclusion principles in content.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in clear and concise language.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Familiarity with design and collaboration tools such as including Figma.
