We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in software development, expertise in JIRA, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and oversee complex software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring their successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, focusing on software development projects.
- Proven experience in successfully delivering complex software projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Strong understanding and application of agile methodologies, specifically Scrum. Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in JIRA for project management and issue tracking.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering best practices.
- Prior experience in the software development industry is strongly preferred.
Responsabilities.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Agile Methodologies: Apply your extensive knowledge of agile principles, specifically Scrum, to manage projects efficiently. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Promote cross-functional collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement within the development team.
- Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of software developers, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and alignment with project goals. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, skill development, and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate project progress, and manage expectations. Provide regular project updates, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor and control project variables, such as scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Proactively identify and resolve project roadblocks and dependencies.
- Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets and resource allocations, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Collaborate with the finance team to forecast project costs and manage financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Prepare comprehensive project status reports highlighting progress, milestones, and risks for management and stakeholders.
