Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst collects, analyzes, and translates past and present financial data into insightful information that helps leaders make better business decisions. This position will be responsible for ensuring financial metrics are adhered to and financial statements are accurate. Supports the sales organization up to half of the time and provides data analytics support to other functions in the company, including operations, redevelopment, finance, and human resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze and examine past and present data quality, functions and processes, and provide accurate and appropriate evaluation, analysis and interpretation to management.
• Design, develop and produce standard monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models and performance analytics.
• Develop dashboards and key performance indicators and create data management and process documentation.
• Design, develop, and implement customer-reporting solutions, and maintain and revise existing reports.
• Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing and presenting information.
• Responsible for financial and analytical review with an emphasis on monitoring strategic objectives and value creation.
• Support the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Prepare monthly data reporting packages including analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances, comprehensive explanations of differences as well as the impact of business drivers to budget/forecast.
• Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer.
• Advise management on the content and interpretation of business data and recommend alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs.
• Extend useful and insightful information from a variety of sources and deliver data products in report/presentation format or verbally to management and/or customer specifications and timelines.
• Use timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems; collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design and deploy solutions that meet company and client needs.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management.
• Collect sales records and trends and compare performance measured against sales quotas; recommend quotas for sales representatives.
• Evaluate current economic conditions and prepare sales forecasts.
• Assess, examine, and report collected data to increase sales productivity.
• Analyze sales and performance records.
• Interpret results of overall sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or data analytics, or a related field of study.
• Three to five years of experience in financial or data analysis.
• Sales reporting and analysis experience preferred but not required.
• Senior living experience preferred but not required.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn the following tools:
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Apply business, algebraic, or statistical mathematical operations to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to and stimulate the thinking of senior leaders.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Report authoring tools such as Power BI.
• Salesforce platform.
• Electronic medical records and workflow system, such as PointClickCare.
