We have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Specialist to join our team! This role will support our Resident private billing, Accounts Receivable, and helping our Business Office resolve customer issues. Our Billing Specialist

• Supports all resident accounting and bookkeeping functions including: maintaining and updating the census; posting payments and charges.
• Processes monthly billing for various departments and needs.
• Maintains and generates accurate statistics and reports.
• Performs month end account reconciliations to ensure accounts are accurate prior to close.
• Maintains, updates customer records including rate changes, payer changes, census activity and profile changes.
• Ensures that the accounting functions are managed according to policy, procedure and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Processes sales and waitlist deposits.
• Works with resident and staff on billing issues.
• Complete sales report weekly.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (written, speaking, reading, listening).
• Two-year degree in accounting or a minimum of five years related experience.
• Two years billing experience in a skilled nursing facility, CCRC, or independent housing community required.
• Intermediate computer skills with Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
• Must be current with computerized accounting systems and Windows systems.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Point Click Care knowledge preferred.
