Job Description

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Organizational Development Manager who will lead the organizational development and people operations in Guadalajara. You will set organizational performance strategy, develop practices and processes to maximize employee performance, support employee development and ensure a positive employee experience. You will contribute to the creation of organizational objectives and regularly assess ongoing performance management processes to evaluate effectiveness.

As Organizational Development Manager you will be responsible for offering practical advice and guidance to management, teams and individuals to help them overcome performance barriers. Your additional duties in this capacity include developing efficient systems for collecting performance data and looking for best industry practices that boost performance.

You will also support diverse workforce administration processes, such as payroll verification, headcount requests, salary changes, promotions, and terminations. You will also be responsible for building talent development programs to identify and grow leaders and contributors in the organization. Additional duties you will carry out include fostering positive employee relations and ensuring the legal compliance of HR operations practices in conjunction with Meztal.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal people/HR operations leader and liaison for daily management of internal employee relations and communication among cross-functional teams.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President of Operations, ensure daily operational efficiency of team members which supports the organizational culture of KARE.
  • Coordinate headcount requests with management and recruiting team, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
  • Payroll verification of employee salary changes and coordination of monthly performance bonuses.
  • Conduct quarterly talent review process with leadership to identify development opportunities and talent risks to the organization.
  • Implementation of employee support and education for the ongoing STAR performance review system and process.
  • Facilitate the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process between management and Meztal.
  • Identify development and training gaps from STAR system working in conjunction with the Director of Training to develop individual and organizational solutions.
  • Establish a two-way communication channel to receive employee feedback to create a positive and productive environment.
  • Responsible for escalation and resolution of employee relation issues. Troubleshoot workforce issues concerning employees and management to ensure positive employee relations.
  • Gather business intelligence and the necessary data to assess employee performance and identify individual and departmental workplace issues and development barriers.
  • Draft research-based performance efficiency reports, present them to senior leadership, and suggest performance management changes as necessary
  • Determine and resolve workplace issues that prevent optimal performance, such as individual grievances or poor departmental structures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Performance Manager or in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in BA, HR Management, or a similar major
  • Organizational development or people operations experience in a high growth, startup environment a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Exemplary interpersonal and mentorship skills, with the ability to easily interact with all organizational levels
  • Ability to explain complex processes and employee development milestones in a clear manner
  • Experience with analyzing performance data and organizational metrics to create performance strategy
