About your role (Role mission, be very specific and avoid buzzwords)
The role of the Legal Specialist shall be to review, draft, and negotiate contracts with customers, partners, vendors, and investors. Ensure that contractual agreements are legally sound and protect the company's interests. Promote a culture of ethical conduct and corporate governance within the organization. Maintain accurate corporate records, prepare and file required documents with government agencies, and manage corporate filings and registrations.
Outcomes (What we want the role to accomplish)
- Provide clarity and procedures for corporate structure.
- Take control of corporate and commercial legal matters of Baubap.
- Help in the creation of any type of contracts and NDAs.
- Elaborate on all the corporate legal documents needed.
- Verify the compliance with the corporate obligations of Baubap.
- Create a Governance Program.
Day to day (Task that help us achieve the outcomes)
- Draft, negotiate, and keep a record of all the contracts and NDAs with providers.
- Draft and keep a record of all corporate documents, such as shareholders, board, and committee meetings.
- Identify and implement legal department tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as manage the design, rollout, and training of new systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Help with internal questions related to operations, data privacy, labor, and general topics.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in law.
- Proven experience of 2 to 5 years in a legal role related to corporate law (in-house or private counsel).
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions.
- Advanced English
Nice to have:
- Any certificate/diploma related with corporate law.
- Participation in start-up rounds of investment.
