Role mission
To be part of this fast-growing fintech, you'll join one of Baubap's teams and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group, all striving towards a common business goal. Your role as a Senior Data Scientist at Baubap involves implementing the company's data strategy, delivering tangible results that align with Baubap's mission. In this capacity, you'll closely collaborate with business and operational units, identifying problems, proposing data- and Machine Learning-driven solutions, and effectively measuring and communicating the impact of Machine Learning models on our business.
Outcomes
- Constant analysis of business metrics.
- Researching, improving and building new ML models into production for new project lines.
- Monitoring ML algorithms results.
- Maintaining datasets for algorithm retraining.
Day to Day
- Meet with team members and team leaders to understand and translate business problems.
- Propose, develop, monitor, and deploy in production Machine Learning solutions for these business problems.
- Communicate difficult technical results to a business audience, and suggest different avenues for progress.
- Quantify the impact of our machine learning solutions in the business.
- Communicate with Data Engineers to facilitate access to new data sources, and to deploy in production the outcome of machine learning models.
- Design experiments, test hypotheses and build data models to help product managers make better decisions.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Team
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency in MySQL.
- Experience with the complete Machine Learning Pipeline (Feature engineering, ML model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring).

- Experience in Fintech industry.
