Job Description

This exciting role will give you the opportunity to expand your experience in HR while supporting new projects related to refugee and offshore hiring. . This role will be a member of the team providing HR support and project assistance. Reporting to the VP of People, this role will be an important member of the HQ HR team, and will focus approximately 50% on the administration of programs, procedures, projects and processes for an internal client group (several senior living communities and a small admin and leadership group), and approximately 50% as support for HR strategic initiatives related to hiring. Responsibilities include HR processing and influencing the team member experience throughout the employee life cycle, from hiring and onboarding to development, retention and off-boarding. This position is a full-time remote role.


Essential functions amp; responsibilities - HR Generalist

  • Support the administration of HR programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company, and to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Administer and assist with the rollout of new initiatives and projects across the spectrum of human resources and improvement of existing ones, including project coordination and outreach to vendors, partners, and team members.
  • Assist with various HR projects, initiatives and processes, including but not limited to: benefits programs, open enrollment, annual audits, new product implementations, job descriptions, performance reviews, process and policy development, employee engagement, Culture of Excellence, etc.
  • Work with leaders to manage recruiting process for internal client group, such as posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating activities, meetings, etc. throughout the recruiting process
  • Complete pre-employment and onboarding steps for team members, such as background checks, coordinating onboarding paperwork, file creation, and benefits enrollment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of administrative human resources duties including maintaining employee files, sending out mailers, creating documents, monitoring systems, bill reconciliation, coding invoices, etc.
  • Maintain HR records (online and paper), including data input into ADP and BambooHR.
  • Create and prepare ad-hoc and reoccurring reports, including performance reviews, background checks, and other employee reports as requested
  • Work closely with other departments within the HQ office as well as within our communities to assist with HR and operational questions.
  • Serve as a member of the HQ HR team effectively and broadly assist in additional HR-related matters or projects as needed.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility
  • Demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and support of strategic goals
  • Monitor GSI HR email mailbox for correspondence from team members and vendors and respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Remain flexible, positive, collaborative and excited and open to changes, shifting priorities and new assignments.
  • Support outreach to Spanish-speaking agencies and vendors.
  • Translation of documents from English to Spanish for HR projects, programs and procedures as well as organization documents.

  • Communicate with refugee organizations in the US, Puerto Rico and other locations in support of establishing programs related to refugee and offshore hiring.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments and leadership to help Transforming Age attract and hire team members who support the residents in our communities
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new hires

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of HR experience preferred
  • HR systems experience is a must
  • Experience using ADP for data input and reporting is highly preferred.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities
  • Fluent in English is required.
  • Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Must have a professional attitude and presence, and be highly meticulous, well organized, detail-oriented, timely and accurate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate clearly in English and Spanish is essential.
