The Bankruptcy Paralegal will support the bankruptcy legal team in preparation of petitions, plans, motions, and other pleadings. Throughout the case, the bankruptcy paralegal will communicate with clients, trustees, and court staff accordingly.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Engages with clients in a warm, welcoming, empathetic manner to build trust, and credibility;
Review client documents to prepare petition for Attorney-Client review;
Revises petition with any corrections for final client review and signature;
Conducting legal research on bankruptcy-related issues
Process finalized petitions for filing upon Attorney approval;
Notifies and informs clients of 341 hearing instructions;
Organize and prepare 341 documents and submit to Trustee;
Prepares and files petitions, plans, motions, other pleadings, amended schedules amp; statements, amp; amended plans with ECF;
Notify client of plan and payment options;
Receives, processes, and manages reaffirmation agreements with clients and opposing counsel to file with the court;
Notify client of case discharge and other relevant information regarding case closing;
Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients
Reporting to Bankruptcy Lawyers
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Extensive experience in preparing legal documents related to bankruptcy cases.
Experience in the electronic filing of cases on the U. S. Federal Bankruptcy Courts

Proficient with Google Suite or related software;
Own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above), with an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps.
Willing to work on the Pacific Standard Time schedule
