An Instructional Designer/ Instructional Design Consultant is responsible for developing effective training materials and resources to support the learning and development needs. They design content using various methods and technologies to ensure virtual assistants are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.
Responsibilities:
- Must produce a minimum of 2 videos per week
- Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive training curricula. Create a structured and logical sequence of learning materials and resources to cover various aspects of legal processes, terminology, tasks, and software tools.
- Instructional Content Creation: Develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, presentations, job aids, and interactive activities. Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging, interactive, and visually appealing content that supports effective learning.
- Learning Methodologies and Technologies: Utilize e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), virtual classrooms, and other digital tools to provide accessible and interactive learning experiences.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Quality Assurance: Review and edit content for clarity, coherence, and instructional effectiveness.
- Instructional Strategies and Techniques: Incorporate learner-centered approaches, active learning methods, scenario-based learning, and other instructional techniques to optimize learning outcomes.
- Project Management: Manage the development and delivery of instructional materials within established timelines and budgets. Coordinate resources, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of training initiatives.
Requirements
- BS or MS in instructional design, education, or video editing related field
- Strong writing, storyboarding, and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva and/or video editing experience is a must.
- Familiarize with Learning management systems (LMS)
- Experience creating digital learning materials
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines.
- Own a Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, core 5 above) with an internet connection of at least 10mbps
