About the Role

As the Product Manager for "Pay and Win," you'll be instrumental in launching this program in Baubap's app. This program lets users use rewards from the "Invite and Earn" referral program for mobile top-ups. Soon, it'll also cover paying for utilities like water, electricity, and gas. You'll ensure these features work smoothly, overseeing their development, implementation, and ongoing improvement. Working closely with tech, design, and business teams, your goal is to deliver a great user experience while meeting Baubap's goals.

You will be working with a cross functional team to make these features seamlessly integrated, listening to user feedback to make the program better, and teaming up with the marketing team to get more people involved.


Outcomes

  1. Deep Understanding of the Customer: This involves having a profound insight into the customers’ needs, behaviors, and desires. It’s about understanding what the customers truly want, even when they might not be able to articulate it themselves.
  2. User Research and Feedback Implementation: Complete and conduct a set number of user research and testing sessions each quarter to gather direct feedback on our product.
  3. Effective Collaboration and Communication: Promoting effective team collaboration means creating an environment that encourages productivity and alignment among cross-functional members. This includes keeping the team motivated and focused on the right goals. Additionally, it involves adeptly managing and communicating with stakeholders like senior leadership, marketing, and customer support.
  4. Product Vision and Roadmap Execution: Defining and communicating a clear product vision of Paga y Gana and executing with the team.
  5. Deep Knowledge of the Data: Product managers should have a strong grasp of data analytics. This includes understanding the relevant metrics for the product, being able to interpret data correctly, and using this information to make informed decisions.
  6. Deep Understanding of the Business: A product manager needs to comprehend how their product fits into the larger business strategy. This includes understanding the market, the competition, the revenue model, and how the product contributes to the overall goals of the company.
  7. Deep Understanding of the Industry: This involves having extensive knowledge about the industry in which the product exists. This includes understanding the trends, the regulatory environment, the technology shifts, and how these factors can impact the product.


Day to day

  • Spend a significant portion of the day engaging with cross-functional team members, including engineers and designers, to foster a collaborative environment. Ensure that everyone is aligned with the product's goals, vision, and priorities.
  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and analyze customer feedback to deeply understand their needs and issues. Use both qualitative and secondary quantitative data to inform product development.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to brainstorm, prototype, and test new ideas. Focus on finding the most valuable and feasible solutions to enhance the product.
  • Regularly analyze user behavior data and measure feature success to inform product decisions. Review metrics and KPIs to assess the product's performance and health.
  • Continuously prioritize the product backlog and refine the product roadmap. Balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and market trends in decision-making.
  • Weigh inputs from team members, stakeholders, and market data to make informed decisions about product features and direction.
  • Keep stakeholders regularly informed about product progress, challenges, and decisions. This may involve formal presentations, written updates, product demonstrations, and prototyping.
  • Provide necessary guidance and support to team members. Help them understand the product vision and empower them to contribute effectively to the product's success.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies or methodologies in product management.
