Job Description

KiMEX is Kiewit’s alliance partner for providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to Kiewit Energy de Mexico, specifically employing the staff and craft that deliver those services. Kiewit Energy de Mexico is a subsidiary of one of North America's largest and most respected construction and engineering organizations. Kiewit Energy de Mexico offers construction and engineering services in a variety of markets including power, oil, gas and chemical, terminals, marine works and mining.

Responsibilities
  • Design of some critical Pamp;IDs systems for power plant systems Oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, etc.
  • Hydraulic calculations, PSV sizing, participation in HAZOPs and sizing for Performs calculations for different process and utilities systems and specifications for major power plant related equipment including, but not limited to, combustion turbines, steam turbines, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, and pumps.
  • Check and/or prepare design deliverables such as PFD's, Pamp;ID's, process simulations, data sheets and performance flow curves accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, company standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other drafters, designers and engineers assigned to the project or a task, and reviews work progress and results.
  • Performs shop drawing review on moderately complex equipment and systems. Able to review, mark-up, and recommend action to project team.
  • Capable of creating mark-ups for the drafter/ Designer to incorporate into the design documents.
  • Provide input for the equipment data sheets and provide input to equipment lists.
  • Develop heat and material balances for process unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in refining, petrochemical and/or LNG industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (NOM, CFE, API, ANSI, ASME, etc)
  • Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e-mail programs
  • Experience utilizing ProII, Hysys, Aspen Plus, Promax, HTRI, or Flarenet.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate - Advanced English.
