Roles amp; Responsibilities
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across the Americas.
- Ensure company compliance with labor laws, data protection regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various legal agreements, including employment contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet legal and business requirements.
- Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Work closely with HR to address employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement labor and employment policies in accordance with local laws and company values.
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees and managers on legal compliance and company policies.
- Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Other ad hoc tasks as and when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law.
- Proven experience as a legal and labor specialist, preferably in a multinational environment.
- In-depth knowledge of labor and employment laws in the Americas.
- Knowledge of EOR’s/HR’s service industry legal rules and guidelines will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
