Job Description

Kiewit Mexico is seeking a Mid-Level Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. As a Mid-Level Instruimentation and Control Engineer you will be performing Instrumentation and Control calculations assigned, drafting loop and logic schematics and prepare deliverables. The Mid-Level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer should have experience in engineering projects, be highly technically competent and familiar with current tools/programs/software, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Asist in formulate narratives, calculations and instrument specifications.
  • Asist to prepare Control systems specifications and Instrument index.
  • Asist in the preparation of instrument datasheets, calculations and requisitions.
  • Develop loop diagrams.
  • Asist in the review of PID’s requirements.
  • Work as a part of a large project team including both in-house inter-discipline engineers and construction superintendents to provide our Clients the industry’s best of both engineering and physical design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or control systems engineering or related fields
  • +5 years of experience in design, automation, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Familiar with basic PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) configuration and programming is required.
  • Knowledge about API/PIP guidelines for instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant instrumentation is required.
  • Knowledge of Autocad is desirable.
  • Experience in field construction or startup (power or oil amp; gas plant) work and previous experience is desirable.
