The Candidate

We are looking for an HRBP capable of helping us take our people operations to the next level. The ideal candidate is someone with holistic knowledge in different areas of human resources who can support building a human resources department from scratch. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about building high-performance teams and has a calling to create happy teams that also deliver extraordinary results (High Performance, Happy People). The Role

As an HR Business Partner, your main objective will be to help build and maintain a high-performance team that is happy working at Birdman (i.e., the Flock). The activities revolving around this objective are diverse as you will be responsible for different operational processes such as Selection and Hiring, HR Operations, and Organizational Health. You will also be responsible for generating and implementing programs to create a culture of excellence and well-being, including methodical performance evaluations, scheduling integration and recreational events, as well as training and development sessions. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a high-performance team that is happy working at Birdman.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor general HR strategies, policies, systems, tactics, and procedures throughout the organization, aligned with the above point.
  • Gather, analyze, and report data with useful HR metrics, such as time to hire, employee turnover rates, and job satisfaction index.
  • Own the Attraction and Selection process: define recruitment and selection processes, audit the process, and ensure that every new team member meets hiring requirements, raising the bar for performance and culture in the organization. Compensation and benefits analysis.
  • Own the daily HR operations: hiring, onboarding, pre-payroll (incidents), query resolution (case management), documentation. Also manage permissions, compensation, and vacations.
  • Own the Organizational Health process: conduct employee satisfaction surveys, define benefits and perks, coordinate integration and recreational events, provide feedback to managers for better management.
  • Own the Maintenance and Organizational Excellence Process: conduct performance evaluations, training and improvement plans, offboarding plans.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and well-being (High Performance, Happy People) through development, engagement, and motivation.
  • Improve job satisfaction by promptly addressing issues, implementing new advantages and benefits, and organizing team-building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years as an HR specialist or leader in a small company.
  • Experience in selection and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of recruitment tools and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) such as Linkedin, OCC, and Workable.
  • Experience in people operations: hiring, onboarding, payroll, performance evaluations, etc...
  • Demonstrated experience with Human Resources metrics (Time to hire, turnover, employee satisfaction).
  • Experience in developing Human Resources policies.
  • Experience in defining Human Resources processes.
  • Experience in defining positions and roles.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to establish and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Broad knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices.
  • At least intermediate skills in MS Office (Word and Excel).

Desirable Requirements

Work experience in startups.

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or Administration.
  • Proficient in PowerBI.
  • Professional-level proficiency in English.
