Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Specialist with expertise in California benefits, and the ability to provide comprehensive support in areas such as workers' compensation, payroll, and leave of absence administration. While experience with UKG Ready's Everything Benefits platform is considered a plus, it is not a core requirement. If you are passionate about optimizing HR processes and ensuring a seamless employee experience, we want to hear from you.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Benefits Administration:**

- Configure and customize benefits systems to align with California-specific requirements.

- Stay updated on the latest California state regulations and compliance standards related to employee benefits.

- Ensure that benefit plans align with California-specific laws and regulations.

2. **Open Enrollment Management:**

- Lead the configuration and execution of open enrollment processes.

- Collaborate with HR and other departments to communicate open enrollment timelines, benefits changes, and related information to employees.

3. **Workers' Compensation:**

- Serve as a point of contact for employees on workers' compensation inquiries.

- Collaborate with insurance providers and manage the workers' compensation claims process.

4. **Payroll Administration:**

- Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate processing of payroll for employees in compliance with state and federal regulations.

- Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.

5. **Leave of Absence Management:**

- Administer leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

- Assist employees with leave requests, documentation, and coordination of benefits during leaves.

6. **Data Integrity and Auditing:**

- Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy and compliance with California regulations.

- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

7. **Employee Support:**

- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.

- Conduct training sessions for employees on HR programs and processes.

8. **Collaboration:**

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

- Collaborate with IT and vendor support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HR systems.

Requirements

  • - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • -Proven experience as an HR Specialist with a focus on California benefits and general HR functions.
  • - Familiarity with California state regulations and compliance standards would be nice to have
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • - Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
