- As a procurement intern you will be able to directly impact the successful development of the solutions and services which support our daily operations and growth strategy.
- You will research, evaluate, negotiate and buy products and services ensuring best conditions are obtained..
- You will support several projects and lines of spend within several spend categories from Marketing, Professional Services, IT, Real Estate, etc.
The Successful Applicant
- Support the purchase of commodities and services to meet specialized or complex needs
- Support making purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations
- Investigate and cultivate new sources for supplies and products
- Research and prepare bid specifications
- Support issuing bid requests to several potential vendors and suppliers
- Review quotes and secure the most competitive bids
- Make analysis to identify and select vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of commodities, price, and delivery date
- Explain and clarify purchasing procedures to internal departments as well as vendors
- Solve problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner
