Title: Mobile Apps Engineer

Location: Guadalajara, Mx

Term: Full-Time/Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Duties

• Design, create, deploy and maintains code to develop applications and programs that run in mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets,
• Collaborate in the definition of requirements,
• Develop application programming interfaces that support app functionality,
• Write and test code, mainly unit tests and user interface tests,
• Ensure the best performance and user experience of the application,
• Perform detailed quality assurance tests,
• Monitor app feedback for potential patch or upgrade needs,
• Collaborate with teams to ensure mobile app works fluidly w/IoT appliances,
• Remain current with new technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Skills/Expertise

• Excellent technical skills with in graphic design.
• Well versed in mobile operating systems such as Windows, Android, and iOS,
• Experience in native/hybrid/React iOS and/or Android mobile app development,
• Experience in programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Objective-C and Swift,
• Solid expertise in software development kits (SDKs) and development tools such as iOS SDK, Xcode, Android Studio amp; Android Developer Tools,
• Experience using video/audio/image processing libraries/APIs (OpenCV, GPU Image, CoreAudio, AVFoundation),
• Solid background with databases (MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, SQL Server, ODBC, CoreData, Properties List),
• Experience developing cloud software services (AWS mobile services, Firebase),
• Web services familiarity (XML, Json, REST/SOAP),
• Knowledge and proven experience in RESTful APIs,
• Knowledge in user experience design and user interface design,
• Familiarity with push notifications,
• Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications,
• Strong understanding of mobile design paradigm. This includes the whole process, from code typing to publishing,
• Familiarity with hardware interaction such as sensors, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, Cameras,
• Experience developing cloud software services (AWS mobile services),
• Good mathematical background,
• Hands on experience in Agile methodologies,
• Good knowledge of version management tools like Git.
