As a Finance Associate at Sofía, you will support building out and coordinating a wide range of functions: accounting, planning, treasury, investments, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes to support: accounting, financial planning, treasury, investments, etc.
- Work closely with Engineering and Data Science teams to streamline or automate the above-mentioned functions.
- Evaluate, analyze and present financial results relative to budget and other benchmark data.
- Support the definition and measurement of 'unit economics' that are customized to our business model.
- Develop and maintain financial models that communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and deviations to plan/budget.
- Generate other ad hoc analysis as required to support the business (e.g., which cities or zones of the country should we prioritize in a coverage expansion effort?)
- Anticipate and address requirements from local regulators (CNSF, SAT).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering or Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Background in investment banking, management consulting or a top-tier technology firm.
- 3+ years of finance planning/analysis experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets tools.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects or tasks at the same time.
- Entrepreneurial mindset (eagerness to introduce improvements to our current processes).
- Self-direction and enthusiasm to collaborate with other teams (Engineering, Data Science, Actuary, Risk amp; Compliance, etc.)
Bonus points
- Knowledge of health care, health economics, or health insurance.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or statistical software (R, Python).
