Jr Quality Automation Engineer

Zipdev is looking to add a Jr Quality Automation Engineer to its remote team! As a Jr Quality Automation Engineer you will be responsible for creating automated tests from pre-defined manual test cases defined by the Quality team and providing timely feedback on the quality of the product. If you are interested in Automation testing and have proven experience as a manual tester, we want to hear from you!

• Ensure daily execution of automated testing: Manually execute test cases for the purposes of determining the best ways to automate them. Ensures that tests are executed daily on new builds of the product.
• Create and update automated test cases: Creates automated tests based on existing test descriptions and manual execution. Follows best practices established by the team for writing automated test cases accurately and quickly.
• Root cause analysis of test failures: Quickly analyzes automated test failures to identify the root cause and opens product issues for immediate resolution. Corrects and enhances existing automated test cases to ensure accurate testing and minimize false positives.
• Creation of defect reports providing feedback to the product team: Participates in test code reviews and receives and provides constructive feedback for code improvement
• Acceptance testing of development tickets
• Automation of UI validation using JavaScript and CodeceptJS
• TestRail test case review, creation, and refactoring on a weekly basis
• Jira defect tracking and QA verification of new found defects
• Post-deployment validation

Requirements

• Basic experience with Object Oriented Programming, scripting languages (python, ruby, etc) and Git or similar version control system
