Zipdev is looking to add a remote NodeJS Engineer to join an Integration Team! A successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and documentation of high-quality software to integrate at scale with partners. You'll join a team of software engineers that are on a mission to change the Career Education industry with a cutting-edge SaaS Platform for vocational-focused training businesses. What you'll do:
- Connect platform to 3rd party systems and vice-versa through scalable scripting
- Deliver APIs that enable the platform to scale, documenting for customer teams Work collaboratively with other backend engineers, QA, and Project / Product
- Track metrics to gauge performance and identify potential areas for improvement
- Investigate and fix bugs, fielding customers' inquiries that come through tech support
- Improve the deployment pipeline to ensure smooth, frequent releases
Requirements
- 5+ years with Node.js plus a year plus of TypeScript
- Experience with multiple OAuth 2.0 implementations
- 3+ years on AWS or similar cloud hosting environment
- 2+ years with Lambdas or similar functional programming paradigm
- Grit and resilience from having already worked in a startup
- Knowledge of / opinions on what it takes to build a publicly-consumable API+60% Pacific timezone overlap
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, related work experience.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with the Serverless framework, ORM, TDD, amp; CI/CD
- Tricks-and-tips about Postman
- A desire to automate and leverage DevTooling to streamline processes
- A passion for just-enough documentation
- Experience working cross-functionally with web, mobile
