THE ROLE
We have an exciting opening for a Localisation Project Manager (Content Analyst) based in Mexico City, to support the management of full-cycle localisation and translation projects mainly in the website localisation, digital marketing and market research industries.
The role will report into our Localisation Team Lead in our London HQ.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is keen to be part of a team performing to the highest standards and to be interacting with our global wider team, but who is also able and motivated to work autonomously to support Locaria’s deliveries during a busy season.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week from Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday (i.e. five consecutive days) with your rest days being Wednesday and Thursday or Tuesday and Wednesday, instead of at the weekend. Note that Sunday work will be paid at x1.25 the normal daily rate.
We will also consider candidates for a Friday to Monday shift (32 hours per week) for this position.
THE OFFICE
This position is based in our Mexico City office (though staff are currently working from home due to the pandemic).
The role is full time and the shift is from Friday to Tuesday (i.e. five consecutive days), with rest days being Wednesday and Thursday.
Note that Sunday work will be paid at x1.25 the normal pay. We are open to also consider candidates who prefer a Friday to Monday shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES
During Saturday and Sunday:
- Act as the ‘weekend project manager’ of the business and complete the project tasks handed over by multiple Locaria teams, ensuring a smooth transition.
During Friday, Monday and Tuesday:
- Set up, manage and run the full cycle of localisation projects
- Prepare and analyse files using our CAT tool and integrated project management system
- Create orders in our management platform and keep project admin updated at all times
- Liaise with internal and external production teams, clients and linguists, allocate jobs and monitor workflows
- Follow QA processes and comply with relevant and applicable procedures
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (briefs, TMs, glossaries/TBs, style guides).
- Complete linguistic work in native language, as required (translation, review, etc.).
Requirements
- Availability to work during the weekend full time as part of a 5-day shift.
- Translation, linguistic, communication or media degree/ qualification
- Track record in localisation project coordination
- Fluent English written and verbal communication skills. Being a native speaker of one more language is a plus
- Proven writing / translation / reviewing experience
- Ability to work independently, great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive approach to work bringing ideas and questions to the team
- Passionate about languages
- Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g. Memsource)
- Knowledge of market research, PPC and SEO is a plus
