About this position
We aim to do good things with good people. As a Software Engineer, part of the larger engineering team at Vista, you will work with a group (squad) of other highly motivated software engineers, who thrive in solving challenging problems with innovative solutions. The primary responsibility of each engineer is to ensure the continued technical and functional quality and excellence of the Vista product set. This means working on the enhancements and on-going maintenance of existing applications and contributing to the design, development, and implementation of those new applications. This position reports to the Engineering Manager within the Vista Latin America office in Mexico City.
Key Responsabilities
- As part of an agile team, help drives new product feature development through the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participates and contributes to the scrum, sprint review, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other team meetings.
- Provides powerful analytical thought and leadership.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to internal and external customers.
- Develops high-quality application code which satisfies specified business requirements.
- Implements Vista coding standards, patterns, and practices and contributes to defining these standards where required and appropriate.
- Identifies complex problems, investigates, evaluates, and discusses possible options, implements agreed solutions.
- Explores and generates new approaches, frameworks, or solutions to work-related issues, and has the ability to stimulate ideas in self or others.
- Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging technology and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Fluent English communication (verbal / read / write).
- 5+ years of experience in building production software applications working with C/C++, C#, . NET / ASP. NET, Razor, JavaScript, specifically AngularJS, Angular2+, and Angular CLI.
- Familiar with Lazy Loading, Directives, Interceptors, Pipes, Services, i18n translations, NGRX/Store (Actions, Reducers, Effects, Selectors), Typescript, Redux, Docker/Kubernetes/Octopus, and other 3rd party frameworks.
- Experience coding according to responsive design for modern web applications and using and creating reusable components with cross browser compatibility.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL databases (SQL programming)
- Experience with Visual Studio
- GIT is a plus.
- Tertiary qualification - preferred
