Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and dedicated Manual QA Engineer who will take ownership of the overall quality of multiple products. This is a vital role within the company as we continue to scale. We expect the person to be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining test cases to ensure product quality. The ideal person for our team is someone who can execute a QA strategy for web and mobile products while coordinating with other teams to meet deadlines.

The Manual QA Engineer will join RxVantage and help us as we transform how medical practices engage with life science resources and expertise to improve patient care. What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist product owner in writing and reviewing acceptance criteria for upcoming features
  • Performing requirements analysis and tracking
  • Manual testing of critical features and user acceptance testing support
  • Communication with PO team
  • Work side-by-side with the development teams in assisting bug investigation (reporting, reproduction, isolation)
  • Design, create, implement and maintain test cases, test scenarios
  • Plan and execute tests on specific areas according to project features and milestones
  • Tests results reporting, identify, update and track bugs in JIRA

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a QA Analyst
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, and processes.
  • Understanding of web technologies.
  • Understanding of testing techniques and methods.
  • Experience with a test case management tool (TestRail), defect tracking (JIRA).
  • High attention to details with strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude
  • A team player with good interpersonal/communication capabilities.

  • Ability to understand business problems and advance the QA infrastructure to test those business problems at scale
  • Ability to interact with business stakeholders and the product team to discuss new products and features while planning QA to ensure 100% test coverage
  • You thrive in the ambiguity of a fast-paced company and can easily adapt to the changing priorities of a scaling technology organization
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and understanding CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
  • Ability to track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
