The Role

The Market Research Localisation Lead role requires solid people management and account management skills to successfully coordinate our clients and our local team, who mostly focus on market research localisation projects. The successful candidate is expected to be able to drive, manage and motivate our Mexico-based MR localisation project managers, as well as help us expand our portfolio of MR clients. They will have to adapt to a rapidly changing business, have experience in localisation workflows for market research projects, as well as experience and energy to ensure the team respond to client needs.

The role is full time, is based in our Mexico City office and will report to our London HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure our local team of project managers/analysts correctly and efficiently handle existing MR localisation projects from brief to delivery, including dealing with client quotes, vendors and file preparation.
  • Monitor, train and develop a team of local project managers/analysts. Help us grow the team as necessary to keep on top of increasing workflow, ensuring seamless and efficient client management.
  • Maintain client relationship and communication, ensuring client satisfaction at all times. Provide client recommendations and instil best practice. Step in and deal with client escalations and critical client calls where needed.
  • Drive our strategy for the MR localisation channel by developing plans to upsell to existing accounts, onboard new MR clients and ensure our internal industry knowledge and technology remain top notch.
  • Forge a good working relationship with our London-based MR localisation team, mutually supporting each other as required.
  • Ensure the team follow QA processes and deliver within the agreed timelines.
  • Develop project plans and cost estimates, allocate and manage budgets.
  • Lead by example and ensure our local office has the support and skills to grow and succeed. Set up regular communication lines with the London HQ and help develop best practice processes.
  • Analyse performance data, derive insights and take required action.
  • Reports into the Content Delivery Director.

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a team lead/team manager position in one of these industries: localisation/translation or market research.
  • Based in Mexico City.
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g. Memsource, Trados) and localisation workflows.
  • Track record in client-facing roles.
  • Experience in people management, account management and growing teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English.
