Job Description

Norhart is a United States based company. We are looking for an Architectural Drafter who has the ability to work remotely off-shore, while working consistent U.S. business hours.

At Norhart we operate as a standard architectural firm, developer, and contractor providing the most immersive Architectural experience available! As Architectural Team Member you will be part of a team that designs, documents and develops multifamily buildings. Much of your time will be spent in the job trailer coordinating with engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders in the design and construction of all aspects of the project from site layout and building renderings, to fabrication design of cold form steel members, to interior design selections.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop design documents in all phases of design through construction in Revit from initial feasibility and best fit scenarios to final construction documents and construction admin
  • Generate Revit models for presentation and documentation
  • Create high quality renderings of interior and exterior views with the potential for flythroughs and animation
  • Coordinating with MEP/S/C engineers through Revit BIM model exchange platforms
  • Be willing to learn StrucSoft MWF for metal wall/truss manufacturing in the Norhart factory
  • Answer RFI’s and review submittals
  • Assist in code review and ensure code compliance during document development
  • Assist in land development and acquisition for all new site locations
  • Perform material analysis as part of design and documentation for all items that will be used in the building
  • Research and implement value engineering ideas
  • Track project revisions through-out the drawing set with updates and issuances
  • Assist in the development of Project Specifications in word format

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum 2 year College degree Drafting or 4 year Architecture degree in Architectural/CAD/Revit Drafting and design
