PPRO is growing fast and we are looking for an experienced Accountant Lead in Mexico. You will be part of our Accounting team, that is composed of passionate accounting professionals located in Munich, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg and Sao Paulo. We are looking for someone that really loves team working, helping other colleagues and has a good understanding of improving accounting processes. improving accounting processes. You will be working closely with our Treasury Team, the Controlling team and Group Accounting team and support the monthly reporting, quarterly and year-end reporting.

In the role of the Accountant Lead, you are responsible for accurate preparation of the financial statements, supervising, tracking and evaluating the day-to-day activities. Furthermore, your are establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting informationWhat will you be doing:
- Managing the monthly and yearly financial statements and year end audit process for the Latam entities
- Managing the daily accounts function, including purchase and sales ledger activities, debt collection management and intercompany reconciliations
- Ensure the reliability of data by supporting the monthly group financial reportings with sufficient P/L and B/S analysis
- Bank accounting incl. customer funds accounting
- Preparation of statutory accounts ensuring that annual financial statements are compliant with appropriate accounting standards
- Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly VAT accounts and returns for the Mexico and Latam
- Responsible for accurate monthly accounting for PPRO’s Latam entities
- University degree or similar qualification with a focus on accounting, controlling and taxation
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in an international group or an audit company
- Must be authorized to sign financial statements in Mexico (CPA preferred)
- Solid VAT knowledge
- Good know-how and experience in Mexican FRS (NIF)
- Additional Latam GAAP or IFRS know-how is an advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
- Strong analytical and presentational skills with the ability to work with large data sets
- MS Dynamics experience (not a must)
- Excel skills (advanced)
- Proficiency in English is essential
