The Role
As an Accounting Analyst at Palantir you’ll work to drive improvements and quality initiatives across our growing Accounting amp; Finance organization, supporting senior accounting leadership with strategies that prioritize scalability and value creation.
In this role, you’ll create immediate impact, getting deep into work processed by the Treasury and Accounts Payable teams and identifying areas for improvement. You will be responsible for helping the Corporate Accounting team close the books monthly, as well as building out related internal controls, automation and process enhancements.
You are a problem solver, who's not satisfied with the status quo, and is energized by opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of existing processes.Core Responsibilities

• Assist with recording monthly bank activity.
• Reconcile cleared outstanding checks daily and work with our AP department to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation for bank accounts and other assigned accounts, working with business partners to obtain support for any reconciling items.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records to verify accuracy and to determine if there are any discrepancies in financial data.
• Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews relating to financial statement audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
• Adhere to key controls as identified through SOX.
• Participate in internal process improvement initiatives to improve reporting, analytical tools, and technical aspects of accounting procedures and practices.

What We Value

• 3+ years accounting or finance experience. Experience at a public company a plus.
• A highly analytical and innovative approach to problem solving, with a demonstrated track record of process improvement.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with international functions and teams is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to maintain accuracy in work products and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• NetSuite and GTreasury experiences are a plus.
