About The Role:
WePay is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our Partner Experience team. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in establishing credibility and confidence with WePay’s current partners by demonstrating and presenting the value of WePay’s products, services, and thought leadership in payments for platforms.
As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with our sales team members to design solutions for potential clients. Through in-depth discovery calls, you will help craft and document a solution design for our Integration Engineers to leverage in their efforts. You and the Sales member will be the primary contacts on new deals, providing insight into our product capabilities, determining each customer’s payment strategy, as well as how best to deliver on those needs.
The ideal candidate will employ exceptional communication skills, with the ability to navigate and negotiate through challenging circumstances, both internally and externally. The right individual will display a high technical aptitude and capability to translate complex solutions into digestible responses.   • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to our partner’s requirements and tuned to suit the level and nature of the audience.
  • Understand the platform and payments ecosystem to identify problems and generate creative solutions for our partners.
  • Build technical expertise in WePay products including APIs, partner and Merchant Interfaces, our Mobile SDKs and readers and provide consultative guidance to our partners.
  • Document and propose solutions to customers based on keen investigative skills, solving for unique payment challenges.
  • Nurture relationships and collaborate effectively with product teams amp; decision makers both internally and externally.

What We Are Looking For:
  • 5+ years as a technical consultant or a partner/sales engineer.
  • Solid understanding of the Web technology stack and experience working with: JSON, RESTful APIs, Curl, relational databases, modern web technology, modern programming languages/frameworks.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to deliver executive level communications required to properly articulate challenges and frame solutions in an actionable manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience speaking engagingly and clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Skilled at engaging, communicating and selling to Enterprise level customers.
  • Experience in the payment ecosystem would be a plus otherwise a strong interest in the domain.
  • A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical acumen/experience.
