About the Position:

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources in the US, the HR Generalist - CALA assists with the daily functional activities of the company’s Human Resources Department in our Mexico location including compliance, interviewing and hiring staff, administrating pay, benefits and leave, enforcing company policies and practices and office management.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Administrate, document, submit and review weekly payroll
  • Ensure compliance of weekly payroll controls
  • Elaborate weekly/monthly/annual reports (compensation, costs, rosters, turnover)
  • New hire onboarding (internal policies, IT request, documentation, contracts)
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training
  • Maintain compliance with federal labor laws and regulations, review and update policies and practices
  • Handle employee-related inquires, referring to the appropriate staff
  • Coordinate and conduct employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Process and track all employee approved requests PTO, travel etc
  • Maintain multiple platforms and files with correct data (Paylocity, Edenred)

Experience and Training:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Psychology or Other relevant area of study.
  • Advanced level of English as a second language (written and spoken)
  • Based in Tijuana BC or Cancun

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Full Time Position - Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional need to work beyond designated hours.
  • Wages commensurate with role and experience
