You are a professional Math or Physics Engineer that participates in the complete development life cycle of our product. Together with our Front-end and Data engineers, you are creating our Smart-Scheduler Product and take pride in doing so. As a Data Scientist, you have knowledge of mathematical models, statistics, and optimization algorithms.
Your job includes:
- Design, develop and test mathematical models.
- Develop a python package which wraps algorithms to serve other services.
- Research and implementation of various algorithms (heuristics, metaheuristics, neural networks, etc.) to solve industrial problems in manufacturing.
- Be able to work with extensive databases to process them.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
- Design, develop, and unit test applications following established standards.
- Elaborate research regarding the development you are creating and record said investigations in a formal fashion
- Support in the development of user's manual for developed systems.
- Can execute functionality tests for work developed.
- Can work with little or no supervision.
- Can work on delegated tasks from Senior Developers.
- Responsible and Result oriented: makes sure things get done, even if it means asking for help. Grow in abilities and learn from different areas of the companies to find what they like best.
Requirements
- Studies in applied mathematics and physics.
- Studies in operations research.
- +6 months of proven experience working with Python 3.
- Extensive knowledge of mathematical models or the resources to find and use them.
- Bonus: Experience using Git: Pull requests, merges, and versioning, Bonus: Studies in computer science
- Bonus: Experience using mathematical packages in Python (Pandas, Pytorch Numpy, etc.).
