As a Product Infra Engineer you will be maintaining the smooth operations of some of the most important parts of the product and software that directly serve Ambient’s customers. This spans from API development, scaling product systems and services, as well as, creating new abstractions that make our engineers more productive.What you will contribute:- Seek out problems and inefficiencies in our tooling, APIs, and feedback mechanisms available to product engineers today.
- Ideate solutions, and then pitch, plan, measure, and implement them in an iterative fashion
- Create leverage for all of product engineering through your work on services, abstractions, and architecture
- Implementing REST and GraphQL APIs for clients
- Designing and implementing highly available and fault tolerant microservices and scalable databases to power web applications
- Improving the performance, reliability and scalability of all backend services and frontend clients.
- Developing delightful product features end to end
- Developing fault tolerant build systems for web applications
What you bring to Ambient.ai:- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with a strong programming background.
- At least 4 years of experience building highly scalable and available web services.
- Deep expertise in REST APIs, general web backend design principles, relational databases (MySQL / Postgres).
- Strong experience with Unix like systems (bash scripting and tools).
- Experience with Python, Go or another programming language used on the backend.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient algorithms using proper data structures.
- Ability to design and implement complex systems (including a real time websocket system, communication systems, etc).
