Backend Developer - .NET

The Backend Developer works closely with DevOps, Platform, and Data Engineering to build and expand core services and infrastructure to support the growth of the PetDesk Platform. You will be responsible for creating reliable, scalable, secure applications and services.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related program, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years experience in developing backend database and service applications. Strong understanding of standard service patterns (REST, RPC, OAuth2, JWT)
• 3+ years of professional experience developing with C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Experienced developing with Docker for containerized deployments
• Strong background with Entity Framework, Linq, SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated experience developing against third party APIs and services (e.g. Email Service Providers, Payment Processors, etc.)
• Preference for candidates with experience in cloud-native development and AWS products (e.g. SNS, SQS, Lambda, Terraform, ElasticSearch, Airflow)
• Preference for candidates with Python development experience
