QA Automation Engineer (090)

A US-based company (a global leader in cruise vacationing industry) is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to work on its customer-facing web-based solution used by hundreds of thousand users daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tests complex Web and API based applications
• Creates and maintains automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported bugs, and ensures overall system quality prior to a customer release.
• Designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value added feedback.
• Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verify fixes.
• Works closely with product and software developers to create software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures and test reports.
• Works cross functional areas with internal partner engineering teams in a disciplined agile environment.
• Estimates own testing tasks and works productively with minimum supervision while showing excellent team attitude.
• Participates in the performance testing and analysis for a web services architecture and associated back-end applications.
• Review design documents to ensure test-ability of new features as well as the quality of the designs

Requirements

• Experience in testing software 4+ years
• Proficient in using open source test automation frameworks like WebDriver.io, Test NG, Newman
• Excellent TypeScript or Javascript programming skills
• Proficient in using BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Proficient in Test Automation frameworks design for Web Apps, REST and GraphQL APIs
• Proficient with monitoring, aggregating and analyzing Testing Automation Results amp; Metrics
• Proficient with identifying the root cause of the test failures and classifying them at scale
• Experience writing performance tests using Jmeter or similar
• Experience working with CI/CD Tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket
• Experience working with DevOps Tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Experience working with MongoDB
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill, time management and Agile best practices
• Partner with development teams and promote understanding of test data and its role in the project lifecycle
