The Business Intelligence Data Analyst collects, analyzes, and translates quantitative and qualitative data into insightful information that helps leaders make better business decisions. Supports the sales organization up to half of the time and provides data analytics support to other functions in the company, including operations, redevelopment, finance, and human resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Advise management on the content and interpretation of business data, and recommend alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs.
• Analyze and examine past and present data quality, functions and processes, and provide accurate and appropriate evaluation, analysis and interpretation to management.
• Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing and presenting information, and implement new processes based on changing business or industry conditions.
• Extend useful and insightful information from a variety of sources, and deliver data products in report/presentation format or verbally to management and/or customer specifications and timelines.
• Use timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design and deploy solutions that meet company and client needs.
• Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer.
• Develop dashboards and key performance indicators, and create data management and process documentation.
• Design, develop, and implement customer-reporting solutions, and maintain and revise existing reports.
• Point out system or process problems when noticed and engage the team in problem solving by facilitating satisfactory communication and resolution of issues.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management, and communicate results effectively to management and/or customers.
